Fried fallow deer tortilla

Today, on "from field to plate", Mette Karin Petersen shares a simple but delicious recipe with us. The ingredients are few but the taste is amazing.

Fried fallow deer tortilla

This is what you need:

Venison meat, cut from the tenderloin, fillet, or back leg

Fresh spinach

Lime juice

Red bell pepper, sliced

Taco pancakes

Salt and pepper

Here's how you do it:

  • Heat up a bonfire or frying pan.
  • Clean and trim meat. Cook over a bonfire or on a frying pan until meat is light pink. Frying time depends on the size of the meat and the heat of either bonfire or the frying pan. Usually, a roe deer fillet is 2,5-3 min. on a frying pan. Let the meat rest for a couple of minutes before slicing. Meanwhile, fry corn tortilla on low heat.
  • Build your corn tortilla with your favorite toppings.
  • Enjoy, maybe with an ice-cold Corona beer.

Happy hunting & happy cooking.
