Fragmenting and lead free

Evostrike is designed to deliver most of its energy early into the animal which makes it suitable for smaller prey and/or thinner skin and softer muscle tissue. It is also a lighter projectile which achieves a lot of its energy through higher velocity.

A lead-free bullet as of today cannot expand in the same way as lead bullets since it doesn't have a soft core that deforms when hitting a target. The same result can only be achieved in a lead-free bullet from the tip either breaking apart (deformation) or breaking up (fragmentation). The polymer tip in Evostrike initiates a fragmentation of the frontal part of the bullet which is designed with radial perforations that breaks apart the front part of the bullet into smaller pieces. The rear part of the bullet stays intact and penetrates the animal, leaving a visible blood trail behind.

The materials commonly used in lead-free projectiles usually has a significantly lower density than lead. Also lead-free bullets needs higher velocity in order to deliver enough energy to render it effective at standard hunting ranges.

More or less all hunting bullets that carry traditional lead, will leave parts of the bullet behind. EVOSTRIKE is made of tin which at least is not as toxic as lead. However, it is recommended to remove any visible residues from the meat anyway.

EVOgreen or EVOlution green, is the same bullet as we use in EVOSTRIKE. However, our product is loaded in a high quality NORMA case with a different load and different powder.
