Also known as the .375 Flanged Nitro Express, it is a longer and necked-out version of the .303 British that was developed for the traditional single and double shot rifles you see in Africa. It drives quite a heavy projectlie at a slow speed down range, which makes it an excellent choice for the plains, but not the ideal choice for dangerous game.
